Let us Pledge to make India “SuRakshit” on Raksha Bandhan

Raksha Bandhan is an Indian festival of great significance. On this day brothers promise their sisters that they will always protect them.  But with the lawlessness and widespread crime today can any brother really provide that promise to his sister?
We all know that the existing system has failed to provide security to women, and criminals have no fear of the law. Why should they, when our parliament itself has become the refuge of criminals.  There are over 160 members of parliament with serious charges of murder, extortion and rape. BJP and Congress each have over forty such MPs. They provide an umbrella of protection to the criminals on the street.  Recently the Supreme Court brought a ruling to bar people with criminal charges from parliament.  What did our existing political parties do? Hail this judgment? Accept it with open arms? As expected, they banded together to quickly oppose, challenge and try to scuttle this judgment.
We also know that we cannot expect anything from the police either.  In the case of Gudiya, the 5 year old who was brutally gang raped in Delhi in April, it was under pressure from Aam Aadmi party volunteers that the police finally registered the FIR and shifted her to a better hospital, that saved her life.  Far from getting justice for the victims against the perpetrators, the police themselves  harasses the victims and their supporters.  AAP volunteers have experienced this first hand in several cases of rape in Delhi, when they have had to protest on the street to even get the FIR registered.  In June,  AAP supporters were brutally attacked and beaten by the Delhi police for demanding to get the FIR registered in the case of a married woman who was kept captive and raped for 3 days.  False cases were registered against our supporters.
What should we do about it? Leave this social responsibility to our existing government and police who have clearly failed, or rise up and take the responsibility to uproot the rotten system that allows this to happen?
Aam Admi party is a political revolution where the Aam Aadmi has joined hands to fight for Swaraj, usher in clean politics and stop lawlessness and crime against women.  AAP has zero tolerance for corruption and crime.
It’s time to participate in the change!  Support, Vote and Donate for Aam Aadmi Party, and forward this mail widely
Let’s make this Raksha Bandhan truly special!  We request all sisters to call their brothers to donate to AAP to ensure their safety instead of their gift for Rakhi.   We also request all brothers to call their sisters  and ask them to donate the money they spend on Mithai and Nariyal to AAP.  Please call all your brothers and sisters of this great nation today.
Let's make our society, our India "SuRakshit" on Raksha Bandhan !!.
TEAM AAP

Brutal attack on AAP volunteers by Delhi police

Delhi police brutality! Yesterday many of our volunteers were brutally beaten up by the Delhi police for protesting outside the police station asking for the police to register an FIR in the case of a  young woman who was confined and raped for 2 days in Gokulpuri.  The picture (see below) and videos of the incident shows the viciousness of the attack on peacefully protesting young men and women.  Several of them were admitted to the hospital with broken bones and bleeding wounds.  When one of our volunteers asked for water, he was offered urine.  (Read the  news report  in 'The Hindu') Volunteers are our strength and when the police beats up any one of us, each lathi, each blow is a pain inflicted on all of us. Gandhiji’s freedom fighters had to endure the same brutality at the hands of the British rulers. Little did we know that this unjust treatment would continue even after we got independence and this time at the hands of our own elected government.  Thi

The Secret To Create Immediate Attraction

Here’s one of the great ironies of dating: The women who say that you’re a guy that “any girl would love to have as a boyfriend” are also the LEAST likely to actually go out with you. Heck, you might be what those women would call “quality boyfriend material”, but for some reason, they themselves would NEVER want to get romantically involved with you. Ask them on a date, and these women who think so highly of you will also be the first ones to also turn you down. You know why? It’s not because they’re lying to you or playing head games. They truly believe every word they’re telling you. The thing is, they can’t see themselves being the actual woman in the relationship they think you’re so ready for. In other words, these women feel no CHEMISTRY around you. And that’s really what attraction is all about: hardwiring a woman’s mind to see you in a certain way. Women who only see you as a friend can only imagine you ending up with someone who deserves you. However, their fr

DANGEROUS FOR SOUTH ASIA AND BANGLADESH

Saturday, 05 April 2014 |  Hiranmay Karlekar  | in  Edit 1 Bangladesh will once again become a regional exporter of terrorism, as it was during the BNP-Jamaat coalition Government between 2001 and 2006, if the Jamaat calls the shots in any Government there The Awami League will no doubt look back with satisfaction at the recovery it has made from the drubbing it took in the first two rounds of the Upazila (sub-district) elections in Bangladesh. Candidates backed by it won the chairman’s posts in 34 Upazilas against the Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s tally of 41, the fundamentalist Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s 12 and the Jatiya Party’s one, in the first phase of elections on  February 19 . It continued to fare poorly in the second phase held on  February 27 , at the end of which its tally stood at 78 against the BNP’s 93 and the Jamaat’s 20. It was just a whisker behind the BNP after the third phase held on March 15, after which its total of chairman's posts stood at 118 agai
